    Everybody saying Curry changed the game.
    How about getting rid of the traditional power forward for good, igniting the concept of stretch four and spacing, and making it impossible forever to compare eras ?
    Not bad for a change.

    • @jonpoon3896

      Elnardo Webster I’d say Dirk changed the game for forwards and Curry changed the game for point guards. Unfortunately Dirk’s influence in the game didn’t really change until he’s passed his prime

    Dirk said something that made me respect him to the fullest.. He said he never felt like he made it and worked everyday to take his game to the next level.
    If most professional sports players felt this way sports would be fun to watch again. Now its a bunch of divas overshadowing the passionate players of the game.

    • @cuuy
      @cuuy 4 года назад +4

      And he really did it in his career. At least till 2011 and in my opinion also a bit after it Dirk always improved his game in some aspects. He was very talented, but he himself said it several times about some young players that they were already farther than him at that age (not only Luca, but also some other players). I don't think those players were more talented than Dirk (except Luca, he's special), but Dirk did struggle a bit at the begin of his NBA career. And he improved and improved and improved and improved and improved. That's really impressive.

      If 2006 happened, there will be no 2011. Avery will stillbe the coach ajd there will be no fire left. Dirk would probably bolt to the Lakers since he already got his ring. Kidd will retire ringless same as Marion and chandler. Dirk said it himself.

    Awesome interview. Dirk got lots of European players over in the NBA. Dirk Nowitzki was really the first great European player to come along and make it big time in the NBA. Drazen Petrovic would have been the first had he not died, but Dirk put European basketball players on the Map in the NBA. I just felt like After Dirk came along in the NBA every team in the NBA had at least one European player on it. Before Dirk came along, that wasn't the case. You had some European players in the NBA. Dirk was really the first big man to drain those 3's with his patented "step back'' jump shot. I wonder if Dirk drives a Ford-150. He comes across as a pick-up truck /Porsche guy to me, not a Ferrari guy.
